COVER AND TITLE:

her-resurrection-cover.jpg

(©Book cover of Her Resurrection)

Front cover of her resurrection  is very attractive,  h in her shows tear dropping from portrait of survivor girl/woman perfectly suits to the theme and title. The Marionettes gives the glimpse of women’s suffering like puppets in the society on the back cover of the book. Pictures of marionette and a woman riding on a camel in hot sunny dessert represent the scene in Rajasthan. In my opinion, Her Resurrection’s cover portrays two different pictures of a survivor’s journey. Front cover portrays the first phase of survivor’s life (as a survivor), and the back cover portrays a survivor’s journey of Emancipation through marionette and the journey of Reclamation and Redemption through woman’s picture on a camel. The portrait of a girl whether it is in painting, marionette or on a camel, I feel the same as the replica of a survivor protagonist Maya who is suffering in the painting on the front cover, struggling for the emancipation while doing people’s so-called entertainment like the marionette, and the journey of Reclamation and Redemption on camel. Again I would applaud for Ammol Karambe’s imagination and justice with the cover.

Her Resurrection  seems like a very interesting title. The title carries a subtitle ‘A Survivor’s Journey of Emancipation, Reclamation and Redemption.' Overall title gives a clue about the theme of tragedy and social issues.

A unique feature of the book is; each chapter in ‘Her Resurrection starts with the cover portrait of a survivor.

SETTING:

The protagonist Maya’s journey in ‘Her Resurrection’ runs through different locations like Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, more than half story of Maya’s suffering is set in Nariman point, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, Airport, Versova and red light area in (Brothel) Kamathipura (South Mumbai) in Mumbai (Maharashtra), there is a glimpse of Jaipur (Rajasthan), Panaji (Goa) and Bandel (West Bengal) in India and Riyadh from Saudi Arab.

LANGUAGE AND WRITING STYLE

The language of ‘Her Resurrection’ is not very simple, but it’s lucid. Author Soumyadeep Koley uses Hindi words along with the English meaning next to the word in a bracket. Even pronunciation and syllables are noted in the story. The author narrates Maya’s journey in the style of narration as a first person. He also uses diary style to narrate the journey of Maya’s life. An impression of author's native language Bengali can be seen in his characters' (like Pronoy andHonooman) Bengali accents. The author introduces each and every character in detail.

CHARACTERS:

Maya: Maya is the protagonist in ‘Her Resurrection’. This is the story of ‘her (Maya’s) resurrection’. Her character in childhood is portrayed as a stubborn girl. Maya is one of my favorite characters because of her inspiring life.

There are so many major and minor characters like Saadia, Anjali,Pronoy, Mr. Damien Castellino, Dr. Ramasubban, Rachel, Pravin,Shittupam, Kshitij Master, Gobardan, Audra, Sayali, Pawan/Harshit, Arjun Singh, Purushottam, Jahnman, Rohan, Chhetri, Siddharth Badani, Mr. Hogan, Honooman Prasad, Sucharita, Alexandra Castellino, Saakshi and Missus Rani etc.

PLOT:

The story of Her Resurrection starts with a childhood of a common little/young girl. A scene of a cricket match being played by a group of boys with a plastic ball takes us in our childhood memories. Some scenes are scribbled gracefully so all of those look like a live picture. Failed attempts of Maya’s escapes from bordello and the thought of prostitutes’ reality in bordello thrill us. A conversation between Maya and her colleague Anjali touches to readers’ heart. When I read about Maya’s promotion, I feel like that is not her promotion, but mine and I become happy for her success. The author beautifully comments on possible misuses of a woman’s would be naked/semi-naked pictures. The narration of Maya’s unbuttoning robes for a photoshoot is really romantic. Chapter tenth brings so many twists and turns in the story. First visualization session of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) is described intelligently. The interaction between Rachel and Maya in the hypnotized state of mind seem realistic and brilliant.

Author Soumyadeep Koley comments on people’s narrow mind thinking for rescuing someone in the quotation- “If I rescue her, I’d get into trouble. If I don’t, the world wouldn’t turn upside down. So why bother?” He also comments on society’s mindset about single mothers. An irony of women’s life is fantastically narrated by the author. Although the behavior of police officers and the system is being changed with rape victims in a positive sense due to a lot of awareness, author realistically portrays the rude and corrupt police officer’s character. The author also gives the glance of an illegal judicial system like Khap Panchayat in villages among northern India. Author comments on people’s ignorance to pay a single rupee to beggars. He gives the glance of an unemployment. The author targets Indian audience for treating women like a material of an entertainment in the male centric atmosphere- “We live in a culture where women and even little girls are eroticized for public entertainment. In this way, these little girls are robbed of their innocence. It has become the way of life that it is impossible to imagine being entertained without a girl or woman being sexually objectified--- be it a movie, be it an item-song, (as they term it) be it magazines, or be it erotic literature for the sophisticated mass.” The author remarks economic condition of small vendors in a single but ironic line “He sold so much happiness but never tasted it.” Author Soumyadeep Koley gracefully scribbles the obstacles in prostitute’s life to live simple life. He comments on the tragedy of prostitutes’ children and their unfulfilled education, unfulfilled ambitions and the talent. Although I have not experienced (heheheJ), I have personally sensed the reality of red light area in Itwari (Nagpur) while traveling or walking, and the author bravely describes the reality of red light areas, let it be Mumbai’s oldest and Asia’s second largest red light area in Kamathipura or any other but the situation is same as portrayed and it’s shameful. The author writes about police, politicians and ministers’ deceitful promises about prostitutes’ resurrection. He also gives the glimpse of a horrible fact about the import of little girls in brothels for prostitution. Author elegantly refers the real incidents like Operation Shakti and Kargil War from the nineties.

The novel ‘Her Resurrection’ gives us some messages. The author urges us to act and behaves like a human being - “In today’s world, if a human being acts like a human being, that ought to be enough. He doesn’t need to be God.” Author gives a message of gender equality from even a Maya - a prostitute, when she says to her unborn baby - “If you are a boy, I’ll raise you up to be a perfect man who’d be made of love, who’d respect women, and fight for the ailing humanity at womanhood. If you’re a girl… I’ll never let you come up against a bit of what I’ve gone through in my life. I’ll never, ever let any harm come to you. I’ll be your sword and shield. I’ll protect you with my life.” Author motivates us and especially those who think to commit suicide when Rachel tells Maya - “You were are sent to the earth for a reason. You still have a big task to do in this earth. You can’t die before you complete it. If you tried to kill yourself before that, you’ll only suffer more and more.”  Damien’s answer to those who consider prostitutes dirty is really commendable and acceptable.

Author’s research or knowledge about photography can be seen from the information like “skin shine and glamour are very important aspects of photography.” He tells the difference between observation by a common people and a photographer. The author gives useful information about SBI’s policy of minimum required amount in saving accounts. It seems that the author has researched a lot about Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).

I reminded the four different books I have read earlier while readingHer Resurrection. But let me tell you that it’s just a coincidence and nothing more between co-relation. While reading about telepathy I commemorate the scene from ‘Hey Dad! Meet My Mom!!’ where protagonist Puneet talks to his dream-girl Roshni in her unconscious state of mind. A quotation “All problems in life are temporary, but suicide is permanent. It can never be a solution” commemorates me the similar quote"Suicide is for cowards. Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem"from the ARC of novel ‘#IAm16ICan’. Setting in different locations of Mumbai commemorates me the setting of ‘50 Miles- A Reverse Journey’.

Her QUOTES:

  1. “Since my childhood, I've always dreamed to be a soldier. As I grew up and stepped into the twenty-first century, I came to realize that India needs more soldiers not to go to war, but to support the pivotal battle of the nation- to fight for women who have been debased and devolved by patriarchy and misogyny, since time immemorial, in order to reclaim the rights that have always been rightfully theirs.”
  2. “We are the scapegoats of the vagaries of men’s desires. When a man is here having sex with us, you know, somewhere in the city, a girl is saved from being raped. We are a bunch of women-soldiers of the country, who give up their lives for the cause of the nation.”
  3. “Reality is very hard. Life is harder. It should be worked upon, not dreamt. Dreams should have a place in your mind only in the night, not after you wake up.”
  4. “Once you’re into your twenties, everybody will taunt you if you aren’t married. They’ll call you defective and impotent. Even the Pundit was discussing that you need a sojourn at a mental hospital, and you’ll become mentally fit once again.”
  5. “Everything happens for a reason. God never takes anything away from you without having a better plan for you. You’ll understand one day and remember me, when all the roads of your life will meet somewhere just around the corner.”
  6. “Time can change everything- from kings to paupers, from settlers to drifters, from lovers to strangers, and from girls to ragdolls.”
  7. “Life is the sum of the choices you make. There’s nothing called destiny, neither anything is written It is the difference between a small ‘yes’ and ‘no’.”
  8. “Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future. Don’t let your past define your future.”
  9. “Some things in life are priceless. They can never be repaid off or repaid with.”
  10. “Experience is one’s greatest teacher, One doesn’t need to have a Master’s Degree to be a master of something.”

DRAWBACKS:

There are print and grammatical errors like her, hir, he and is instead of correct words him, his, her and in on page numbers 23, 127, 173 and 197 respectively. Double inverted comma begins on page no. 174 but does not close, similarly double inverted commas close on page numbers 204 and 241 without opening. The author Soumyadeep Koley uses so many short forms and modern words in the novel which I feel inappropriate on literary aspects. I have seen some words fainted from the novel. So I think that the editors must be careful to check and correct the print mistakes while editing.

REVIEWER’S FORWORDS:

©Image of Author Signed copy of Her Resurrection

Her Resurrection’ by Soumyadeep Koley is the fantastic thriller which enlightens so many unsaid and hidden dark truths of prostitutes’ life. Maya’s journey represents the life of so many unlucky prostitutes. The book tells the journey of common girl’s entry to exit in prostitution. This novel highlights the horrible fact that how emancipate life or even a thought of emancipation is almost impossible in the destiny of prostitutes. The novel thrills us with so many twists and turns and motivates us to think positively. I totally agree with a prediction on page no. 211 about this story of ‘Her Resurrection’, I exactly mean “Maya’s (possibly true) story will give immense strength and support to rape survivors, survivors of sex trafficking, as well as prostitutes. It is indeed a moving eulogy to every Indian woman’s life.”

I would highly recommend the novel ‘Her Resurrection’ to all photographers, models, respected citizens of the society and prostitutes themselves.

I am giving 4.15 out of 5 stars to the novel ‘Her Resurrection’ by SoumyadeepKoley.

BLURB OF THE BOOK

So begins Maya’s story in the picturesque countryside of Maharashtra, where she grows up amidst cruelty and domestic violence, being an unwanted girl-child. Yet, like a lonesome beacon beset by sinister wilderness, she pursues her dreams of reaching the stars with her tiny wings. One night, a twist of fate triggers a series of incidents, when she loses everything she had – even her virginity.

Severely traumatized after her father’s death, hermother’simprisonment, and her own gang-rape, Maya finds herself all alone inthe streets of Mumbai, with wolves lurking around for raw flesh. She’s weary, but not wary. She has no sense of the fate that awaits her. What follows, would change her life forever, as also yours, as her heart wrenching, yet inspiring story echoes through time.

‘Her Resurrection’ bravely paints an appalling picture of society. Heartbreaking, hopeful and immensely healing at the same time, this emotional rollercoaster through dreams, tragedy and triumph is a moving tribute to womankind. Are you ready to embark on a transformational journey with Maya.

#IAm16ICanRape by Kirtida Gautam:- Well researched psychology and debate!!! (Book Rating: 4¼ of 5 Stars)

Blog Post: 135

Book Review: 14

#IAm16ICanRape!! No, I am not 16. I have celebrated my 24th birthday just 3 days ago. But still #IAm16ICanRape!! Yes! This is the title of an Advanced Review Copy (ARC) of the debut novel by Kirtida Gautam, which I am going to analyze here in this blog post.

Detailed  Analysis  of  an  ARC  of  #IAm16ICanRape   K I R T I D A  G A U T A M

Book Cover of #IAm16ICanRape

Title and Cover

#IAm16ICanRape is the most attractive and catchy title. I got interested with a lot of curiosity due to the title of this book. The source of the book title reveals in the fourth chapter. I heard about the possible change in this title as #IAm16ICan.  But I think that dropping the word ‘Rape' from the current title would not be a good idea. I can understand that the word ‘Rape' may sound negative and motivational to commit a rape, but after reading the whole book, I feel the title#IAm16ICanRape better and more impressive than supposed to be mysterious title #IAm16ICan. However, it's my personal opinion about the title. On the book cover, important dates related to rape are printed there in the watermark. A teenager boy's shadow can be noticed on the book cover. Title #IAm16ICanRape is printed with a hashtag so it seems like a trend. Green cover motivates to live a life.

Setting

The plot of #IAm16ICanRape runs through several cities like Bangalore, Ludhiana, Cochin, New Delhi, Pune, Gujarat and Kerala in India, Switzerland, and the USA.

Language  and   Writing Style

Editors use different text styles (font, italics and bold) in a proper way. Hindi and Gujarati words, phrases and slangs are highlighted with italic fonts, Italic fonts, and capital letters are used to stress on words and sentences. The author uses bold and abusive language at some scenes which is welcomed and must in the thrillers on such themes like sexuality and rape.

Subhangi's Quote from chapter 8.2 in #IAm16ICanRape

Author counts time in randomly generated number of seconds. The author narrates every character with the presence of mind. Even being a debutant author, Kirtida Gautam uses an amazing narrative style in the novel.

Outline

i-am-16-i-can-rape-readin.jpg

Reading help chart of #IAm16ICanRape

#IAm16ICanRape is not only a piece of beautiful writing but a fantastic editing. Patricia Smith and Neil D'Silva have done a commendable job as editors of the novel. I would mention some unique things of the book. The story of #IAm16ICanRape is narrated through different characters into 12 chapters containing subchapters, but the book doesn't start with Chapter 1. Yes! All the chapters are sequenced in a random order with help of the reading chart. The author acknowledges her detailed acknowledgment under the title of each chapter. The author narrates the story through each character's individual point of view.

Characters

Major Characters:

  1. Aarush Kashyap: Aarush Kashyap is the central character in the novel. He is a 16 years old accused juvenile of rape.
  2. Rudransh Kashyap (RK-Ji): Aarush's grandfather Rudransh Kashyap's character is portrayed as "a man who can turn any hardship into an opportunity of a lifetime." The author portrays Rudransh's character in 2 different roles- Bob (Aarush's grandpa) and the RK-Ji; both of his characters are sketched gracefully. I would describe RK-Ji in his own words- "I am not the kind of person who trusts anyone. I gather data and do analysis."
  3. Ananya Mehta: Ananya is a wife of Mrigank and a mother of Aarush. She is one of my favorite characters because of her nature.
  4. Subhangi Tyagi: Author portrays Subhangi as a rape survivor. Yes! She is not a typical rape victim. I would say that Subhangi's character is inspiring for so many rape victims to forget the pain and live the life.
  5. Meghana Pathak: Author portrays Meghana in the role of a successful lawyer in support of juveniles.

There are 13 more major characters like Mrigank Kashyap, Pihu Nagaraju, Harmeet Kaur (Harry), Gayatri, Vijay Prabhu, Shrini, Saurish Acharya, Vaishnavi, Priya, and Taz.

Minor Characters: There are some minor characters like RewatiBhattacharya, Bharti Rajkotia, Navya Mehta, Subramaniyam Sir, Mamata Radhakrishanan, Dr. Samvedana D. Rao and Keshav Murthy.

Plot

Author Kirtida Gautam introduces stages of  ‘Rape Trauma Syndrome’. I feel Meghana's interview realistic which is interviewed by Bharati. The idea of the story or case is introduced by Meghana in chapter 9.1. Readers get to know the contrast in thinking of Aarush and his mother Ananya. The author describes ‘Virginity complex' in an entertaining way and she remarks an important message- "Losing your virginity is not some kind of trophy. Don't focus on such stupid things; it would be fun only if there is no meaning in that. Sex in itself is nothing." The author explains the fact of the reproduction process in the philosophical words. Emotions of each and every character at particular moments are expressed fantastically which seem realistic.

In chapter 8.3, I remembered my childhood that how I was ordering my cousins to leave my maternal grandfather's bed to sleep; when Aarush orders Navya to leave their grandmother Gayatri's lap. I think authoress has done a commendable job by scribbling rape scene in non-vulgar words in chapter 3.4.

Author indirectly criticizes environment and dark reality of rehab centers, while describing the rules and regulations of rehab. Description of Preliminary hearing in the courtroom and other court scenes and interviews show author's knowledge about the constitution, law and legal system and media, journalism and journalists.

The author stands a beautiful example of a strong relationship between a father-in-law and a daughter-in-law which gives a positive message to society. Chapter 4.5 tells the result of pleasure-loving teenager's addiction towards pornography.

The author beautifully scribbles the emotions of a rape survivor Subhangi Tyagi in her heartwrenching note which make us aware of rape survivors' problems. She clears misconception of depression patients and motivates to visits psychiatrists for psychotherapy through the quotation "It's funny misconception in India that people see a psychiatrist only when they are mad." Author Kirtida Gautam introduces ‘Transactional Analysis of theDark Triad'  in chapter 5.3.

I appreciate Ananya's objective answers to her daughter Navya on a sensational topic like rape. I personally think that parents should discuss on such unsaid topics like physical/sexual changes in the human body, physical relationships, benefits and side effects of  this with their children in a good manner in a familiar environment to spread awareness and avoid misconceptions about sensational topics in teenage mind. I feel lucky that my parents never been silent on such topics, so we both brothers may discuss fearlessly on such matters in a family.

I liked session 14 in which psychiatrist Dr. S. D. Rao reads Rudransh'smind. I like Rudransh's comment on an irony in India's judicial system and his message to the society about how to deal with forgiveness and punishment- "a society needs to know when to forgive, but it also need to know when to punish. Forgiveness is not always a virtue. Forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could have been any better." He tells the difference between juveniles' judicial system of India and other countries. He believes that "Society is not supposed to be formed on legal values, but on moral values." The author remarks the horrible fact of prisoners' harassment and sexual assault by other prisoners in jail. She comments on forged birth certificates of prisoners to prove them juvenile, however, the scene is stretched.

I like an interview of a rape survivor Subhangi Tyagi to journalist Saurish Acharya. Subhangi fantastically describes the society's stand with rape victims by the analogy where she compares an orange and an apple. She says "it might seem that rape is a feminist issue. It is not. It is a battle for masculine which females are forced to fight against." She tells the difference between the rape and the sex in her answer to Saurish"Rape is not sex. Sex is an act in which there are always two people involved. Rape is not." I think Subhangi's interview in chapter 8.2 is not less than any scripture of motivation for rape survivors and rape victims (both are not same so do not get confused) to look towards life positively. In chapter 8.3, the author gives a glimpse of Imago Theory of Attraction. I thoroughly enjoyed the card game 270, chapter 8.4 shivered me with thrill and goosebumps.

I think Taz's comment "she is not scared of animals anymore. Now she fears only humans" about his best friend Subhangi's change after a rape is a slap on society and us, the so-called responsible people of India must feel shame on ourselves for such condition. Chapter 10.4 is really touching and sensitive. I truly choked while reading this chapter.

I won't share climax here' but, I truly support Rudransh's demand of juvenile law amendment because "If a person is adult enough to commit a rape, the person is adult enough to take the punishment, period." At least "Punishment has to be in proportion to the crime."

Quotes

So many one liners and quotations are used there in the novel. I would like to note some of them.

  1. "Suicide is for cowards. Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem."
  2. "Humans experience their lives at six levels- physical, emotional, professional, social, creational, and spiritual."
  3. "There are these three ego states- child ego states (psychopath), adult ego states (narcissist), and parent ego state (Machiavellian)."
  4. "Don't plant a seed just a day before you need the fruit."
  5. "In a functional family, a mother should love her child and a father should love the mother."
  6. "God cannot help those who don't help themselves."
  7. "People become artists in hours of grief."

Drawbacks

There are some typing errors like readroster and Khandha instead of red, rooster and kandha on page numbers 3, 119 and 313 respectively. Few Hindi words and sentences are not translated into English. Narrator's name (Gayatri) is missing as a title of chapter 11.3. Few chapters are stretched for no reason, but this point may be sort out in final copy or next edition of the novel #IAm16ICan.

Reviewer's Opinion

rdh-sir-i-am-16-i-can-rap.jpg

©Rajesh D. Hajare

"#IAm16ICanRape is not only the typical novel but it is like a tonic and doses of philosophy on unspoken and sensitive subject like rape. The novel does not only give you big philosophical doses but make you and society answerless with a lot of serious questions. Rape victims and rape survivors must read this novel because this book will not only inspire them to live a life with a positive attitude, but the #IAm16ICan will work like any scripture of motivation for them. #IAm16ICanRape is a perfect psychological thriller and a perfect page turner with so many twists and suspense till the end.

I would recommend the novel  #IAm16ICanRape  or  #IAm16ICan  as a reference book for the study or research of rape, juvenile psychology behind rapes and criminal minds, general psychology of human being, information about psychotherapies, the judicial system, and amendment of law.

24th BIRTHDAY BLOG POST

Hello, everyone!

First of all thank you all for wishing me on my birthday. This is a fourth time when I am posting a blog post on my birthday. I remember that I have posted 50th and 100th blog post on my birthdays. In this year, I have not published so many blog posts, but I can count 2015-16 as the most satisfying year of my journey as a blogger. In this year, I have accumulated an identity of a professional book reviewer. I have been posting my resolutions for every new year. But neither I could post the status of my last year’s resolutions nor I could post my new resolutions for this year. So I am thinking to share some ideas on my birthday. In this year, finally I have owned my domain rdhsir.com for my blog and I have also started earning my pocket money through my blog. Also, I have integrated Google AdSense and looking forward to adding Flipkart andAmazon’s affiliate links to monetize my blog. I am still an unemployed person, though I have a big dream to become a full-time blogger. I am hoping to gain somewhat enough benefits through monetizing platforms and other legal ways. So If all went well, I won’t need any other job being a full-time successful blogger and a book reviewer. And then I am really looking forward to implementing some more innovative ideas and to make this blog the most popular reviews dais of honesty.

Oh, yeah! I have shared the meaning of RDH Sir in my previous blog post on the launch of my domain RDHSir.com. Still my readers may think that whether RDH Sir is appropriate as a domain of this blog/website in a professional way or not? But I would like to explain both personal as well as the professional meaning of RDH Sir. As I have shared in my previous blog post that I wanted to buy a domain name which belongs to my personal as well as professional identity, but the domain should not be restricted to anyone. So I chose RDHSir.com. I have shared in the previous blog post, RDH defines my name Rajesh D.Hajare and Sir defines my qualification; in this sense RDH Sir is my personal domain. Now, my readers might have to ask one question that how can this domain belong to my profession? So I am glad to share the professional meaning and tagline of my blog on the occasion of my birthday today- My domain RDH Sir has 2 parts- meaning, and tagline related to my profession. RDH is an abbreviation of the meaning‘Reviews Dais of Honesty’ and SIR is an abbreviation of my website’stagline ‘Sincere Illustrated Revolution’. So, whenever I will be publishing any book analysis/review that will belong to my professional domain and when I will be publishing any blog post other than a book review, the post will belong to my personal domain. I hope you would like analysis of my website's domain as a personal as well as a professional aspect of my blog RDH Sir’s Official Website (RDHSOW). My friend Aniruddha Pathak have designed a fantastic logo for this website. However, I am looking forward to launching a new cover of my website which will have the professional meaning of RDH Sir along with the new tagline. I have shared another unique name ‘BookLysis’ for my reviews venture in my previous blog post. I am confused about this name but I am looking forward to using this name like an unregistered trademark of my book reviews.

On the occasion of my birthday, I would like to share a good news with my readers. I have received a formal invitation to recite a Hindi poem in‘Akhil Bhartiya Novodit Kavi/Kavayitri Adhiveshan’ by Prayas group in Kota (Rajasthan) which is being held on the 1st June 2016. I am really honoured and thankful to my friend and a co-organiser of the programme Mr. Kuldeep Prajapati Vidyarthi ji and a well-known poet and the president of Prayas Mr. Dev Nagar ji for their invitation. I am glad to share that my blog is being featured very soon in the mywapblog.com’s official blog Notable-Id where I have been interviewed by Mr. Sulton Wijayanto.

This is my 24th birthday. I do share some stats of my blog on my birthday blog post. This time, I won't share detail statistics but I would like to share some stats. I do not collect weekly data of my blog stats except weekly page views but I will start storing and publishing the stats since June 2016. Today my blog is reached to around 4.25 Lakh page views within the time span of 1304 days. Which means my blog gets 325 page views per day, 2275 page views per week, 9883 page views per month, and 121428 pageviews per year. In this week (08-14 Apr 2016)my blog statistics are 5520 Visits, 1635 Unique Visitors, 6450 page views and 1.17 pageviews per visit. In this week, my blog visitors’ top ten countries are the United States, India, Philippines, Ukraine, Germany,  Switzerland, France, Israel, Russia, Moldova, Singapore, Japan, Canadaand Sweden.

This birthday was quite special for me because of so many reasons. Firstly, this is the first birthday I am celebrated after gaining an identity of a professional book reviewer. This is the first time I am celebrating my birthday after earning some money through my blog. This is the first birthday I have celebrated after parking my own domain. And, this the first birthday I celebrated in our own newly build home. This is a Monday, Lord Shiva is showering his blessing through all of your wishes and greetings. I usually do share the name of first well-wisher of my birthday, so here are the names… I thank my friend Narayani Dhungel for wishing me the first in advance. Today so many known unknown friends, authors, reviewers, relatives, neighbours and of course you readers have been showering their wishes on me. I can’t thank all of you individually here by mentioning your names so I thank all of you. Even then I would like to mention one name my friend and a reader Mr. Sunil Narwade for sending me these images on my birthday. Thank you, myfriend, Sunil Ji for the time and effort you spent for editing these photos. I had been receiving the first birthday wish from UAE for last 2 years, this year, I didn’t receive her wish but I know she must have remembered this date as her ex-brother's birthday. Today again I didn’t receive the most awaited wish since 2010 from my most beloved sister, but I hope and pray that she would have at least remembered my birthday, my birthday in her memory is also more than enough for her brother. OK! I think you are finding digression in above 2-3 lines, but no, this blog post and my birthday cannot be celebrated without mentioning them directly/indirectly at least on my blog. You can’t understand the pain of this brother’s heart. Finally thank you all again for showering your greetings, blessings and wishes on my birthday on my facebook timeline, messenger, Whatsapp, phone calls, meeting and directly.
